A lotto player from Bailieborough just won a €186,684 prize in November 11 Euromillions draw and – as it usually goes in a small town – speculations are all over the place.
After someone from Bailieborough hit big in Euromillions Tuesday night draw, many residents started wondering who the lucky winner might be. The mystery person has scooped a €186,684 prize but didn’t identify themselves to the Lotto headquarters.
The winning ticket was purchased in Harris’s SuperValu in the town on Monday – a €3 quick pick – begging the question – is Harris’s one of the luckiest newsagents in the country? The members of the staff are no strangers to bringing luck into the lives of lotto players – back in November of 2012 a jackpot winning ticket amounting to €3.6 million was sold there.
There is great excitement in the store after finding out they made someone very lucky and customers are coming in to talk about the win and speculating about who the lucky winner could be.
“There is a great buzz in the shop at the moment – it is a lovely win and with the times that are in it – this amount of money is a bonus to anyone,” said Lorraine Harris, the shop owner, who also wished the best of luck to the mystery person who is yet to come forward.
The numbers pulled out in the draw on Tuesday night were 2 – 14 – 21 – 3 – 46 with the lucky star numbers 7 and 11. The lucky winner matched five winning numbers, but not the lucky stars.
